Hello, I do not think the 2 are related but could be, The code refers to the left bank o2 sensor, the one in the exhaust manifold on side of engine closest to the front of the car, You have 4 o2 sensors, with age they can and will fail, This is the first o2 sensor on left side of the engine, See the link showing it, The idle? you may have a dirty throttle body, Iput a link on how to clean, You dont have to do each and every step but do need to spray the inside with carb cleaner , then start, rev, blow out and clean again up to say 4 times, This usually will correct the idle
