I have a 2010 dodge ram with a 5.7 hemi. I can't pass a nys

Customer Question

Hi, I have a 2010 dodge ram with a 5.7 hemi. I can't pass a nys inspection because 2 monitors won't reset. Now I have a p0507 code ,IAC too high. Could this be due to a larger 85mm throttle body I installed ?

Hello and welcome! My name is ***** ***** I can assist you with your question. YES, anything aftermarket installed into the air or fuel induction system can and will affect the the emissions. The on board computer will recognize this and will set the proper code.

Should I replace the old throttle body to pass the inspection, will this work?
Expert:  Amedee replied 1 year ago.

If that is what came installed on the vehicle from the factory, then yes.

Do you think the p0507 code will go away?
Expert:  Amedee replied 1 year ago.

As long as there are no other related issues, then yes. (Air or vacuum leaks)
