Hello,

Sorry to hear your having transmission problems. Why did you replace the last transmission? Same issue or different problem?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
tramsmision started whining in reverse then totaly stoped working
Expert:  Ryan-CTech replied 1 year ago.

did you replace the torque converter when you replace the new transmission?

Expert:  Ryan-CTech replied 1 year ago.

I assume you filled the torque converter with fluid before installing it?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
no i was told to install it the way i got it
Expert:  Ryan-CTech replied 1 year ago.

That could be the issue. The torque converter is a pump it requires fluid in order to work properly. If it's dry it can't pump any fluid. You may have to remove the torque converter fill it with fluid and then reinstall it. continuing to run it dry will cause damage to it so make sure you don't run the engine unless absolutely necessary.

that should cure both the shifting and the whining noise.
Expert:  Ryan-CTech replied 1 year ago.

That is correct.

If not the transmission you installed is defective.
