And what did you read?

Did anyone recommend taking proof of ownership and the vin to the dealer and getting another key made?

Plus, are you wanting to replace the ignition switch, which is the electrical part or the key lock cylinder which is the mechanical part?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
I don't have proof of ownership I want to change the key lock cylinder

So you don't own this vehicle?

No title?

Anyhow, I'll see what instructions I can find.

Can you get the ignition lock to turn to the run position?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
No I don't own it my girls room mate borrowed it but now is in the hospital she had a infection on her spin and is now paralyzed. So my girl has been driving it and lost the key last night. So do you see my problem here
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
I have tried anything yet
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Have not

The key lock cylinder has to be turned to the run position. If you have no key, then I suppose about the only thing left to do, is jamb a screwdriver in the key hole using a hammer, then using something to turn the screwdriver, because it must be on run, then press in on the retainer. Here are the instructions from the Chilton manual.
