Customer Question

I am trying to remove the rotor off the rear wheel. I have the caliper off but am having trouble removing the rotor. Is there something else holding it in place?

The rotor is being held on by corrosion. A good hit with a hammer will break it free. I assume you are replacing the rotor anyway?

That is what I thought and have been trying. It is still stuck

Got it

Ok. I usually hit the rotor on the pad surface of the rotor. Many guys hit them between the studs on the hub, but it works way better to hit it closer to the edge where the pads contact it, unless your resurfacing the old rotor. Which we rarely do. It's usually only one or two good hits and it's broken free.
