I have a 2002 ram 3500 and I have replaced the brake switch

Customer Question

I have a 2002 ram 3500 and I have replaced the brake switch and set the adjustment lever according to instructions. Still no brake lights. Fuse is good. Brake lights will come on when I jumper the 1st and 2nd wires (the brake lamps)

Hello and welcome to just answer. Did you flip the little black lever on the switch after you installed it?

Also this is the second switch I have installed.

After you installed the switch, did you flip the adjustment lever? If not, do that and the switch should start working.

Not willing to spend any more money. Guess I'll check all the wiring.

The wiring must be ok because if you jump the #1 and #2 terminals right at the switch connector the brake lights come on

I took the truck to a shop to let them deal with it.

Ok, well let me know what they find if you get a chance.
