Hello and welcome to just answer. Whenever I see this issue, it is usually an amplifier that has locked up or has failed. Try resetting the amp by disconnecting the negative battery cable for 2 minutes and then reconnect it . See if the audio comes back. Let me know.

The nut won't budge. Is there any other way?

Try removing the positive cable then but be careful, don't let the wrench touch anything metal.
