Dodge Repair Questions? Ask a Mechanic for Answers ASAP
Hello and welcome!
Did you have the a/c system charged at a shop?
You will first need to get the A/C system serviced. You can overcharge the system with the diy cans. With the proper equipment, the refrigerant will be completely recovered. The system will be put into a vacuum to remove all of the water in the lines. After 30 minutes in a vacuum, the refrigerant is added with a/c oil. The oil will contain a UV traceable dye to aid in detecting a refrigerant leak.
Unfortunately this is the only best way to service a a/c system.
