What does the light look like that you are calling the Choke light?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
It;s red and has a line running diagonally between two lines
Expert:  Chad replied 1 year ago.

OK, that would be the throttle light.

Have you had the vehicle scanned for codes?

PCM and ABS each should have at least 1 codes. I need to know what those codes are to help you the fastest and cheapest way

Expert:  Chad replied 1 year ago.

Also, Has any work been done on the car right before this started happening? And I mean anything.

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
The lights reset when I shut it off and no codes are there. I have a code reader but don't have it plugged in when it happens.
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Nothing has been done to the car other then I change my own oil. This has been going on for a few years now.
Expert:  Chad replied 1 year ago.

The code reader you have will read ABS codes?

I have seen something like this before, but can not remember what the fix was.

I am guessing that you did not buy the car new?

Everything that I am finding, and will cause this concern, is that your tire size has been changed from factory. P225/60R18 BSW Touring Tires, is what your build sheet says.

If nobody ever updated the pinion factor in your car, it can and will do things like you are describing.

You need to have your tire size and pinion factor updated in the ABS module

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
I bought it new. I went in to change the tire size but my superchip programmer Asks for circumference vice tire size. You don't by any chance know the circumference of this size tire do you?
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
It might have been diameter
Expert:  Chad replied 1 year ago.

No I don't, sorry.

Expert:  Chad replied 1 year ago.

You can look that up on like google though.

You also have an open recall on your car. R25 for the driver's airbag

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
I did and went out to see what was programmed and it was correct. What I think I didn't do was go further and have it update the speedometer settings. I did that now. Could have that caused the problem?
Expert:  Chad replied 1 year ago.

Yes, it is possible.

Did you have a chance to try it out?
