When you say #5 and #7 aren't firing, do you mean there is no spark? If so then at the coil do you have 12v and a ground pulse? What codes are in the PCM?

They took it to have new muffler and sensor put on they didnt give pcm codes they just said not firing in 5 and 7?

we are trying to figure out if it could be the computer or coils how can we determine between the two?

Well it would be great of you knew the P codes that the PCM was setting.. And if it's misfiring on 5-7 then do a compression check and verify base engine is good and then disconnect coil and check for 12v on one and a ground pulse on the other when running...
