Hello and welcome to JustAnswer!
If the engine died with enough fuel in the tank I would first suspect a failed transfer pump or possibly an issue with the fuel shutdown solenoid or linkage. It could be an injector pump issue or fuel contamination also, if the problem started not long after getting fuel then contamination is very possible.
Does it crank but not start now? Or is the truck electrically dead?
