Dodge 2500: I just purchased a used cabover camper. I followed

Customer Question

I just purchased a used cabover camper. I followed the wiring color coding (4 wire) to operate the tail lights that are on the camper since the truck tail lights are now covered. The camper has a square 6 wire plug but 4 of the wires are coded for the lights. The other 2, I assume are for DC power to the tailer. When I turn on the parking lights, the camper lights work. However, when I turn on the left signal, both camper lights begin flashing. When I turn on right signal, nothing happens. The truck lights are still working correctly. Can you advise on how to fix?

Hello. My name is ***** ***** I will be helping you today.Where are you connecting to on the truck?
Customer: replied 1 year ago.

I spliced underneath the cab with the plastic quick splice connector. Into the previously wired trailer hitch. Same type of wire, the 4 in 1 wire you get at auto stores for wiring trailer hitches.

Do you have something else with trailer lights you can plug into the 4 pin plug to check and see if it works?
