I've got a 2003 Dodge Neon 2.0 with 4 Cyc engine. Engine acts

Customer Question

I've got a 2003 Dodge Neon 2.0 with 4 Cyc engine. Engine acts like it locked up. Thought we would have to rebuild the enginer but after tearing it down every things good, heads, crank and piston's. The clutch was bad...completely apart when we pulled the engine. Would that cause the engine to act like it's locked up (bad cluctch)?

Hi I'm Kevin it is possible it was clutch can you now turn engine over by hand

We can turn the engine and the transmission.

It sounds likely that this was the case then maybe something in the clutch unit became lodged and once transmission was separated and clutch pulled out the problem moved and released engine
