Are you saying when you turn the key to the start position, the starter won't crank the engine over or it cranks the engine over but won't start up and run?

Hello when I turn the key there is nothing
Expert:  Richard replied 2 years ago.
This won't be caused by the alternator.
When you turn the key to the run position do the warning lights illuminate in the instrument cluster like normal and does your heater fan work?
When you turn your headlights on, do they illuminate bright?
Do you hear a click noise when you turn the key to the start position?
Does the little round security light stay on, flash or go out after turning the key on for 10 seconds.
