NO you will need an OBD 1 scan tool to read the data/codes on ALL pre 1995 vehicles, the data link for the ENGINE is under the hood near the computer on your Dakota, the ABS, AIR BAG and trans have different adapters and are in different places through out the truck.
you CAN pull ONLY ENGINE CODES using the ignition switch key cycle method.
