hi, can you tell me a little more about the car
did the battery die because you had to crank it for so long?
was it running good before this happened or did you have problems with it ?...jazzmaster ..
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
I had only cranked it once. I stopped because of the smoke coming from the carburetor.I had been hearing a clicking sound for last couple of days and I was going to investigate on my day off.
Expert:  jazzmaster replied 1 year ago.
so, the motor was turning over then it stopped and just clicked or the motor did not turn over and all it did was click ?
the smoke out of the carb usually is from excess fuel or fuel being push out the carb from the motor kicking back
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
The motor was trying to turn over, the battery was going and then I saw the smoke coming out and just stopped trying to crank it

Did you smell a burnt wire smell ?
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
No smell of burnt wires.
Expert:  jazzmaster replied 1 year ago.
ok, did you check for spark?
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
If you mean the spark plugs, that was next.
Expert:  jazzmaster replied 1 year ago.
yes, check for spark st the coil and at the spark plugs
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
And where exactly would I find the coil?
Expert:  jazzmaster replied 1 year ago.
the coil in on the motor .
it has a single spark plug wire on it.
look for the middle spark plug wire from the dist cap this goes to the coil .
