There are quite a few things that could cause a jerk on acceleration.
The problem could be transmission related, fuel system, or if you have a gas engine then it could be an ignition system issue. If it's a diesel then you may have an injector pump issue, either engine could have a cam or crank sensor signal issue.
Which engine do you have?
Have you checked for fault codes?
