Durango: My 2004 Dodge Durango was diagnosed by a "certified"

Customer Question

My 2004 Dodge Durango was diagnosed by a "certified" mechanic to have 2 bad knock sensors but when I check online with a "certified" Dodge dealer (dodgeparts.com) they told me that my year model doesn't come with a knock sensor. The rep said Dodge didn't start using knock sensors until 2005. So I don't know what to do.

Did he get codes for the knock sensors ar how did he determine they were bad. I'm not showing a listing for a knock sensor on that year either
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
They never told me what code they retrieved. They only told me they diagnosed my Jeep and that I have 2 knock sensors to replace.

ok i would have it checked again and get the code numbers if you can that will help a lot with diagnosing the issue most parts store will check the codes for you for free
