Dodge RAM 1500 4x4: i have a Dodge Ram 2010. I was in Phoenix

This answer was rated:

i have a Dodge Ram 2010. I was in Phoenix in 113 degree weather. I turned on my air conditioner and I heard a loud knocking sound under the dash in the center. I noticed that every time the noise would stop I would get a blast of air for just a minute. I can hear the blower but I get nothing from the vents. The only place I feel cold air is the floor vents.

Thanks, XXXXX XXXXX me a few minutes to typae ans send some information
The likely problem is a failed mode door actuator for floor/vent, They are small electric motors that control the doors. They have plastic gears that can strip and it may work one second, hit bad gear spot, jump and go back to how it was. I feel you will be in need of a mode actuator. Not uncommon.
I cant send all the files in this type of format, the files are a bit scattered and bit large but as a general overview of what I am talking about. clcik HERE to upload a small .pdf file
It will show the actuator and generals and how to get to it in general

You have all the symtoms pointing to bad actuator
