are the injectors on a 250 hp cummins and a 305 hp 2003 dodge 3500 ram the same?
Country: United StatesMake: DodgeModel: RAM 3500 Quad CabYear: 2003Engine: 6 cyl cummins Already Tried: just a question. I had a set remanufactured out of a 305 and put in my 250 and it smokes a lot.
Welcome to just answer.com. I'm here to help you and your 100% satisfaction is my goal. No these two injectors are different they put out different volumes of fuel and you cannot interchange them that easily
What is the difference and what is the part # The old ones and the ones I put in have the same part # XXXXX the injector frame. other than one has a circle with a (015) on it and the other has a (927) stamped on it.
I'm waiting on difference and part # XXXXX
Yes they will have the same part number because physically that is same but you need to find injectors with the same calibration number and that's the number that stamped into them that is the amount of fuel that they flow
I will take your answer but there no other #'s staped on them. The only # XXXXX are the ones I supplied.
Yes the number that is stamped on there is a calibration number and you need to have the proper flow rate for your particular vehicle that is most likely the reason you are having the problem with the smoking, obviously there are other possible causes but this sounds like it may be your whole problem
