I have a 2007 dodge 2500HD (5.9 diesel) with 70000 miles. Over the weekend the truck would not take fuel at high exceleration and the engine light came on with a code PO148 (fuel devlivery error). I have since done the simple things ( change fuel filter - very dirty for only having 2500 miles on it, new fuel, fuel treatment) Any suggestions before I take it to the dealership. This truck has 70000 easy miles on it.

Welcome to just answer.com. I'm here to help you and your 100% satisfaction is my goal. There are number things it can cause this problem the very commonly it is simply caused by faulty fuel transfer. Remove the fuel feedline from the injector pump place it in a container and if you turn the ignition to the crank position it should pop for approximately 25 seconds and produce 45 ounces of fuel at approximately 10 psi. If it does not then replaced the transfer pump first tell me what you fine thank you
