Hello! My name is XXXXX XXXXX X can assist you with your question. If you clear the codes, which code comes back first? How does the engine accelerate under a load?
to clear codes do i just unhook the battery? engine hesitates on throtling and tries to smooth out but still a little rough.also strong fuel smell when idling
YES. you can unhook the battery or use a scanner to clear the codes. Is the engine misfiring when running or does the idle just fluctuate?
misfiring
Have you replaced the tune up parts?
not all-plugs & cap ,rotter, and wires are not a year old. code that comes up is-1-1-1-2-5-5
I am having a hard time trying to understand what your vehicle is doing. If it is misfiring, then you might just have a bad new tune up parts provided the compression is ok in all cylinders. If the engine is idling rough, then you could have an air or a vacuum leak. If the engine is bogging down or hesitating under a load, then you could just have low fuel pressure causing your condition.
when idling it just sounds like it has a big cam in it,so it,s probably not missing.its like the choke is on,but theres obviously no choke
Ok.. this is caused by an air or a vacuum leak. Pop the hood and listen for a hissing sound at idle indicating a vacuum leak.
besides a vacuum leak is there anything in the pcm or electrical cicuit ,module or such?
The Throttle position sensor, map sensor or stuck open EGR valve.
