Hi and welcome to Just Answer. My name is XXX XXX i'll be glad to help. Can you give me some more info on when the condition occurs? Hot or cold, how many miles are on yor truck?

Customer :

200000 kms.. the problem is always there... except on rare times it comes back like it should,, ive disconected muffler and ran, checked the resinater muffler before the muffler) for flow ... problem still there

Ric :

What maintenance and or repairs have been performed?

Customer :

no codes no light

Ric :

ok...Can you tell if the lift pump is mounted on the side of the engine under the filter housing?

Customer :

yes it is

Customer :

I have a feeling my lift pump is not up to par, looking for a "spec" of the opperating preasure,,, but then again ???

Ric :

Ric :

I'm typing alot of info please bear with me a few moments...thanx...

Ric :

Ric :

The pump should flow at the minimum 480 mls. of fuel or more to pass the test.

Ric :

Around 500 to 550 mls. would be great.

Ric :

It does sound in all likelyhood that the lift pump is failing.

Ric :

The only problem with that is it will sometimes end up taking the injection pump with it.

Customer :

Im leaving my computer on , but i gotta head out for about an hr... b back to watch the rest of the hockeygame and (to much info i know) Ill will try this by the weekend... . what will ocour when inj pump fails?
