2001 dodge grand caravan: it sputters..check engine battery

Customer Question

I have 140,000 on my 2001 dodge grand caravan 3.3 it has always performed normally while driving. In the last month while driving at 40-45 mph it sputters, sometimes quite drastically. The check engine light has not come on and it has a new battery. At any other speed this van runs perfect. where do I start?

hello and welcome to just answer

quickcar :

the first thing to check is the spark plugs and wires, if those have not been replaced in some time that is what i would do first, if the problem persists then you have to get the fuel pressure check while it is acting up to determine whether its fuel related or spark or electrical.
