2001 dodge: oil pressure sensor..with a cummins turbo diesel

This answer was rated:

how do I change the oil pressure sensor on a 2001 dodge with a cummins turbo diesel, where is it located.
Hello and welcome to Just Answer.

The oil pressure sensor is mounted on the left side of the engine block, just below the ECU.
Here is a diagram.

The sensor unthreads from the block counterclockwise.
Use a deep wall socket that fits correctly.
Install the new one (a little oil on the O ring first).
Tighten it to 144 in/lbs.

Thank you,
Bernie
