1999 dodge ram 1500: only luke warm.. both heater hoses are..cab..road

My 1999 dodge ram 1500 heater gets only luke warm.. both heater hoses are hot....It will stay warm in the cab until I start moving down the road and the gets about luke warm or less... What could the problem be?

does it ever go to defrost when in overdrive?

Daniel :

Mode Door = vacuum
Blend Air Door = electric actuator
Fresh/Recirc door = vacuum

no

if the heater core hoses are still hot then the blend air door may be bad

Customer:

both hoses remain hot

Daniel :

Yes you wil want to get the blend door actuator out and check its operation but it is probable bad. 30 percent of the time its connection and wires.
