2010 dodge: vibration..gas pedal and steering wheel at speeds

Customer Question

2010 dodge ram laramie. a drone and vibration vibration in gas pedal and steering wheel at speeds between 1200 and 1800 rpm. High pitched noise at 70. Dealer says because of multiple displacement system? Can't they stop the noise and vibration? Feels like the engine is "lugging". Can't be good for the drivetrain.

rpmdiag :

Hi, I'm Ron and I can help you. Seems like the dealer could have done a few things like check wheel balance ON THE CAR to be sure that they are perfectly balanced. Check the drive shaft balancing, and finally if all that is good, see if the motor is out of balance ie; flywheel and front crank balancer. Hope this helps, Ron
