When the Fuel Gauge does not provide the correct fuel amount, or fluctuates, this is a problem with the Fuel Level Sensor or the float for this sensor. This sensor is mounted to the side of the fuel pump assembly, located inside the fuel tank. To access the fuel pump assembly, the fuel tank must be removed from the vehicle.
