1997 Dodge Ram 1500: 127,000 miles..Torque Converter Clutch Solenoid

Resolved Question:

I have a 1997 Dodge Ram 1500 5.2l with 127,000 miles and I have a ob2 code of P0740 Torque Converter Clutch Solenoid Circuit. I need to know what the problem is and what i need to fix.

The torque converter clutch solenoid is located inside the trans pan on the valve body

let me see if i can find a good one quick

What would cause this to go out? What exactly does it do?

it is what turns on and off the clutch iside the toque converter

ok it is most likely just a bad solenoid then

i don't have access to the parts system from here but you should be able to get it at a parts store

So how do i disconnect the harness it looks like i will need to take alot of stuff off
