I will post a diagram of your fuse box. you need to check fuse M10 in the diagram.
Wife has car at work. will look at it later today
I ty will be just a couple of seconds for me to get the diagram posted.
I marked the M10 fuse with red arrow
would a fuse go out like that with no prior warning or symptom
the same fuse will work the cigar lighters. So if any of the lighters are out a coin can dropin and short it out and blow the fuse.
Check all the lighter sockets just to mkae sure there are no coins in them.
M10 will be a 20 amp fuse
If you are using a car charger to charge your phone make sure it works correctly
cigarette lighter working.
I have seen car chargers short out the plugs
is a starting point. anything else I should look for if it is not the fuse?
Let me double check. You do have power outlets as well as lighters for this car.
the outlets are on a differant circuit then the lighters
Yes there are power outlets...but not being utilized at this time, and the radio and clock worked yesterday.
Every thing works but the clock and radio right?
As far as I know...
let me go over the wire diagrams and see if there are any comon problems to look for.
Be right bak
If the m10 fuse is ok check the m12 fuse. They both control the radio.
ok will do
Now for the fun part. Dodge does have a tsb for an intermitant raio on off problem. Ask your wife if the radio would come on and go off on its own. If it does then dodge has an updata for the radio.
she has not informed me of that but you never know
a bump in the road or the use of the power seats can affect the radio if the programing is a problem. That is what the update is a reprograming of the radio.
