2008 Dodge Avenger: what type of brake fluid do I use

Customer Question

what type of brake fluid do I use for a 2008 Dodge Avenger and where is the brake fluid located on the car

BRAKE FLUID

Mopar DOT 3, SAE J1703 should be used. If DOT 3, SAE J1703 brake fluid is not available, then DOT 4 is acceptable. Use only recommended brake fluids.

The brake fluid goes into the master cylinder. It is located on the driver's side engine compartment, on the firewall.
