Dodge RAm 1500: a code P0128 coolant..engine running..temperature

Resolved Question:

I have a Dodge RAm 1500 4.7 L. I have a code P0128 coolant thermostat, engine running below thermostat regulating temperature. I changed the thermostat and still have the same problem
Any ideas??

Actually, the P0128 is pointing to a fault in the ECT (Coolant Temp Sensor). When the ECT goes bad, it will read the temp of the coolant incorrectly, making the PCM act accordingly. Replacing the ECT should solve your problem.

Your map is good but where is the ECT. maybe you can walk me through it

The ECT is located at the front of the motor mounted to the Intake Manifold (see diagram above). It's a piece of cake job. Simply unplug the connector, and unscrew it.
