99 Dodge Durango: 5.2L/ transfer case..front end..vibration

Customer Question

I have a 99 Dodge Durango 5.2L/ 4x4. Had a new transfer case installed 50k ago. I am getting a clicking noise near front end of vehicle at low speed (up to 20mph) and a vibration up to 60 mph. Clicking noise is not any more significant when turning. Vibration lessens above 60mph. No increase or decrease in noises/vibration under harder acceleration.

Hello and thanks for your post. Well it could be a few different problems. The first thing to check is the front driveshaft grab it and shake to see if it has play or any rattle to it. If not then the front axleshafts are what I would check next. Grab them as well and shake to see if there is any noise.
