2006 dodge ram abs light and brake warning lights

Customer Question

abs light and brake warning lights illuminate and bell goes off, then goes out and thigoes on until it seems that the truck is warmed up, 2006 dodge ram 2500 desiel. the mechanic says it seems to be the edge programmer i have installed, but i have had it for almost two years.? any ideas

the edge and the abs and brake lights have nothing to do with each other the edge controller only controls the engine and trans it doesn't control the abs or brakes it could be a couple things did they check the abs system for codes?

yes said something about rear wheel speed sensor, but that was all that was mentioned, i did not think that controller made any sense either.he mentioned that sometimes that lights together like that that flash go out and come back on are saying a battery is going out but th indicater is in the middle

ok i would go after the rear wheel speed sensor we have had some issues with them and that is exactly how they act i don't think you have a battery issue because if you did the gauge would be down and the check gauges light would be coming on
