Hello and welcome to JustAnswer!

What kind of problems are you having with removing the tire? Have you cranked it down and the tire didn't drop with the cable? Will the cable not crank down at all?

Customer replied 1284 days and 22 hours ago.

What do you use to crank down the tire..is there a special tool

The tire changing tools should be under the passenger seat. You will find the jack and a black leather bag with the tools in it. There will be the lug wrench and about 3 extensions for dropping the spare. Go to the back of the truck and look at the top of the bumper around the license plate area, between the bumper and the tailgate. You will find a square receptacle about 1/2" square. This is for dropping the spare. You will insert one or two of the extensions into this receptacle. You will find that the lug wrench has a square hole in the handle, this will slide over the extension and you use the lug wrench to crank the tire down.

You can download a PDF of your owner's manual at http://www.dodge.com/. Here is a link directly to where you can download it. It only goes back to 2004 but the trucks are basically exactly the same up to 2005 so the 2004 manual will work just fine for you.

You can find spare tire and tool information starting on page 296 of the 2004 manual.
