i have a 1993 dodge spirit can i put a used computer in it, and if so does it simply need to be reprogrammed or do i need to buy a brand new one?

Hello, if the pcm is the problem a new pcm should work as soon as you install it. The problem with used pcm's is you often get one with the wrong software for the vehicle, which most places cannot reprogram, the dealership wouldn't have the equipment to change the programming of a module as we're only given the ability to update the current software, not replace it.
