To reset the "Oil Change Required" indicator (after performing the scheduled maintenance) refer to the following procedure:


Turn the ignition switch to the ON position (Do not start engine).
Fully depress the accelerator pedal slowly three times within 10 seconds .
Turn the ignition switch to the OFF/LOCK position.

NOTE: If the "Oil Change Required" indicator message illuminates when you start the vehicle, the indicator did not reset. If necessary repeat this procedure.

im changing my oil at only 4 thousand miles so the change oil lioght has nbot come on yet but i plan on changing it i just need to know how to reset the oil light

Here it is again.....This Resets the Reminder :

idk this info is not helping at all im not satisfied i think i will just take it into a shop

I am not sure what you want.........
I posted exactly what you asked for.
If the OIL REMINDER has not came on, then you will need to wait until it does & then Reset it as shown........
If you are changing Oil Early, you can't "reset" anything, as it is built into the computer by mileage.
So wait for it to come on, then reset as I posted..........
