Dodge 2002 Ram Van 1500 5.2 "no bus" error. From time to time. Sometimes it starts and runs. Sometimes it dies while driving. When it runs.. it runs great. Made it from Omaha NE to Chicago IL yesterday. Died once while on the freeway. twice wouldn't start at gas stations. Took it to Midas. They hooked it to the computer and said. Its running great except for this little hickup.. Like when it shuts off. Makes a clicking noise under the dash when it shuts off and then clicks to come back on. ?? what to do?
the no bus that is coming up in the mileage display means that the computer network has shut down. the bus is the network the computers use to talk to one another.most likely the engine computer is bad and is shutting the system down.if you have less than 80k on your van it is still under warranty this computer is covered for 8 years or 80k which ever comes first.
