air bag code =!driver squib circuit open! and i replaced the wire coil under neath the steering wheel that was cut but i am still can n,t reset the light can you tell me how to do it?
Optional Information: 2001 Dodge Dakota v 6 3.9 LAlready Tried: i retrieved codes with my scan tool and i found one code the code says driver squib circuit open and i replaced the wire coil located under neath the steering wheel but i can n,t reset the light still on and when i hook up the scan tool i still have the same code driver squib circuit open.
Hello and welcome to just answer Dodge. If you still have that code, then the squib circuit is still open. If the circuit is good, then the light will go out on it's own. The open squib could be the airbag itself, the wiring between the clock spring and the air bag controller, or the clock spring (which you already replaced). Here is the diagnostic procedure for that code from the service manual for you to look at.
Hope this information helps. Let me know if you need more assistance with this.
