You replaced the cluster with another one? New or used? Do the gauges not working correspond to the not starting still?
I've got to get offline now, I'm at work. I'll be checking back in periodically and will get back to you just as soon as I can. Please reply to this question rather than opening a new one.
no i did not replace the cluster.how can check it ?
I am in Greece,in Europe and its not easy to get one.
the cluster looks ok, i am not having any help here, the Chrysler-dodge dealers and mechanics dont know a thing.
What about when the cluster is working after vibrations on the street holes?
and i have a manually gauges transmition
the engine is 2,4 l
if you need the vin n. i can get it in 5 seconds
And thanks,sprinkles08 sorry for pushing,i am with out car, a few weeks and no hope for fixing it.
HERE IS VIN;
sorry for the "multi vin", daughter 5+ has involve,
i did all as you said, but no start yet.
so far ,after i conect back the red connector in the cluster,no start,
i horn a few times, and power came to cluster, the alarm set it was lighting and sound,
i turn the key on -of and then the car start working again, normaly.
i check the front lights ok
I came in the car,no intruments power.the engine working.
i horn again =power in cluster, without lights internal.
i swich of,try to start,nothing
i open the door and close ,and power in the cluster.
do you think is the problem?
if is start with tachometer display and power in the cluster, the van dies few times and i have to try again and again untill the alarm set is of. Then the van is working untill i swich of.
if i swich of ,without power in the cluster,no start after and alarm set is on.
no,when i use the key to lock un lock,no difference
an extra alarm system was on the van, wich one the mechanic tooked out.But i had the same problem before and after this.
The van has a lpg system made by NECAM -NETHERLANDS
This i think has nothing to do with our problem, becouse when the van is working even in gas-benzin, or autogas-boutan, is working fine in both fuells.
one minute a go i start the van withOUT the cluster.wipers working good, lights front working good, the tail (back)lights NOT.the alarm set ,sometimes is of, but in a few seconds comes on again.
Ok. If you are still having the same problem with the cluster unplugged and the rear lights don't work you may have a problem with the body control module. This would be best diagnosed in person with a high end or dealer scan tool. It is a pretty complex system, and the body control module is very expensive and non-returnable.
Thanks sprinkles08 ,
i will release your payment to day.
were is located in the van the body control module?
So i can touch and check the connectors and the wires,in order to see if there is a bad connection.
Now the van is working but the cluster comes in function when i drive in street holes
and the "alarm set" is always on. When i start i have to release the clutch (in a second) ,before the auto shut down works. The van jumps/rolls a bit on front and the van is working with the alarm set on.With or whithout the cluster.
please respond asap.
