Yes, I have an oil pressure gauge. Trans filter is inside drain pan. Is solenoid and transducer also inside drain pan? After I recieved your message I crawled under truck to see if I could locate where solenoid and transducer were I did not see anything obvious other than what could be the wiring harness possibly to transducer? A couple of torques head screws to remove this part? and is it on driverside of transmission?
They are mounted on the valve body next to the filter in side the trans. You have to drop the pan to get to them. If you want to check governor pressure, install the gauge on the governor port and drive the truck. Governor pressure should rise about 1 psi for every mph you are traveling, it should rise smoothly.
The governor port is number 2 in the picture.
There are only two parts, a governor solenoid or governor transducer, replace them both. I would strongly recommend dealer parts only on this. You don't have to hit the accept button until your truck is fixed, I can wait.
Are you talking about the double solenoid on the valve body with the attached wiring harness? If so, that is the wrong solenoids. The governor solenoid and transducer are the other electrical parts on the bottom of the valve body. Here is a picture. Number 1 is the pressure sensor (transducer), and number 2 is the governor solenoid. The other solenoids are the 3-4/tcc solenoids.
