2007 Charger R/T: oil pressure drop..hemi..air conditioner..5000 miles

Customer Question

I experienced a oil pressure drop in my 2007 Charger R/T with the 5.7 l Hemi engine. I ran the air conditioner for the first time. There are less that 5000 miles on the car. What''s going on.

HiCustomer welcome to Just Answer!.

Did your Charger set a code or are you seeing low pressure readings on the gauge?

Just low pressure readings on the gauge.

I'm afraid it's not something I'm familiar with and is best left to the Dodge Boys. I thought your observation may have been based on an erroneous code that's being set by the 5.7 MDS engine. A software update has been release to deal with the erroneous ENGINE OIL PRESSURE TOO LOW code (P0524 I believe).

No need to accept my answer (obviously). Give the dealer a ring and see what they can come up with. Sorry I couldn't be more help.
