2000 Dodge: Caravan..IAT sensor for 4 cylinder but not the V6

Customer Question

I have a 2000 Dodge Gran Caravan 3.3 V6.   My chilton manual refers to location of IAT sensor for 4 cylinder but not the V6. It is not in the same place. Where is it located?

He did not answer my question. Where is the IAT?
Expert:  TIM replied 9 years ago.
there is not an intake temp sensor on a 3.3 l motor, tim
Expert:  TIM replied 9 years ago.
are you getting a check engine lite -- if so did you have the code read and if so what code did you get?tim
Customer: replied 9 years ago.
I was going to use a Performance chip and that is where the directions said install it. I will check with the mfg firm and discuss further. Why would it not have an IAT sensor/ Did the Idle Air control motor replace it on V^?
Customer: replied 9 years ago.
Yes I did PO401 EGR flow insufficient
Expert:  TIM replied 9 years ago.

no , this engine does not measure the intake air temp when controlling the fuel and ignition-- when talking to mfg -- make sure it is for a 3.3l engine

as far as the idle air control motor -- i misread your question and it has nothing to do with what you initially asked --sorry--my mistake

the 2.4l engine has an iat

3.3l does not

as far as check engine lite -- disconnect the battery and see if it returns

i hope this has clearly answered your question-- sorry about my misunderstanding at first thanks again ,tim
