how do i reset my factory alarm on my 1999 dodge durango

Should be able to Reset with the Door Lock Cylinder.
Insert Door Key & Turn to Lock then Unlock.

You can Reset with the Remote by Unlock Button

Open Driver Door.
Disconnect Positive Battery Cable.
Turn Ignition ON
Reconnect Positive Battery Cable.

no, it tries but doesn't turn over. it acts as if its out of gas but it has a full tank.

Is the Alarm still triggering or do you have Security or Check Engine Light ON?

Lock all Doors & leave alone for at least 10 Minutes.
Unlock Driver Door with Key.
If the Alarm still Triggers, then try the Battery Disconnect procedure.
Otherwise the Security System may have a problem (not unusual)
& you may have to have the Dealer Scan the System which is Part of the CTM
