I have an M730 series Digital camera from HP. It got wet on vacation - not soaked, just a bit wet. At first I could turn it on and it would tell me I needed to reformat the memory board. Now I can't get it to turn on at all. I went to the store where I purchased the camera and we tried a new memory board - no luck. I took the camera apart and blew out and brushed out all the sand residue (very little). Still no power. Any solutions?

Hi, my name is XXXXX XXXXX will be assisting you today. I am a Master Technician that's dedicated to giving you the best Answer possible. If you are new to the site, this is briefly how it works:
1. We will go back and forth exchanging information (if needed) about your problem until we're finished. 2. I will only give you the best possible Answer for your problem without the ability of actually being present with you.3. Understand that I am a real hands on Master Technician and fix these issues everyday in my shop in FL.4. Remember to leave a Positive Rating after we're finished to compensate me for my time just like you would at a repair shop.* Favorable outcomes are always desired, but are sometimes out of both of our control. The Camera's battery should have been removed instantly after getting wet and put in rice for a couple days. If power is applied for too long with water in it acting as a wire, it will short everything it it's path. The Camera's Main Board will have to be replaced and that will cost more to do than a new camera. Warranty wont cover this either. You can try letting it site in rice for about 3 days and try it again. If it still doesn't work, sell it on ebay as parts only and put what you get towards a new one.
Hope this helps and please remember to leave a Great Service rating for my time helping you with this.
Thanks,
Carl
