Hi - I have a fuji xp underwater camera and when I turn it on now i get a blank white screen in the view finder.....any suggestions?
Already Tried: re-charging the battery
Does it otherwise behave as if it were taking pictures? can you still transfer pictures taken from it to your computer?Try removing the batteries, and leaving the camera on a (dry, non-humid, non-dusty) shelf for overnight. Then put the batteries back in and try the camera again. How old is the camera? in months or years since you bought it.Has the camera been dropped or otherwise subjected to mechanical shock(s) in its lifetime?Has the camera been operated in or subjected to, temperatures below 32 degrees F (freezing point) or above about 100 degrees F ? Has it ever been subjected to a humidity higher than 85 % ?
I haven't tried transferring photos yet but will now.
I will try and remove the battery and let it sit.
The camera is only 1 year old
No - the camera was not dropped
Live in FL so was not freezing or overly hot.
If the camera is even one day less than one year old, dating from date-of-purchase, contact the manufacturer at once before the one-year warranty expires and put in a repair order for a camera that is still within warranty!http://www.fujifilmusa.com/support/ServiceSupportRepairContent.do?dbid=674543Living in Florida, your camera is more in danger from heat and humidity, which might very easily have caused this problem.Let me know what the result of your efforts is. Thanks.
