Can only save to built in memory even though card is in and empty. dmc-tz3
Hello my name isXXXXX look forward to assisting you today with your question and providing the best answer possible. Go to play mode and then look for copy and select it. Then look for something that looks like IN with an arrow pointing to a memory card and select that. Then press the set/menu button to select it and all the internal pictures will move to the memory card. Once done the camera should also automatically start storing the pictures there rather than in the built in memory. Please remember to only rate my answer when you are 100% satisfied. Hi FreddieThe Copy option is not activated. I have taken a picture in case that made a difference and still copy is passive??
Ok that normally means the camera is not detecting the memory card. Were you able to use a different memory card in this camera before? Remove the memory card and look inside the slot with a flashlight and magnifying glass are any of the pins bent?
I have tried another card and that works correctly. However the card that was in there, a 4GB I have used happily for the last year on an off and its been fine?
What type of card are you using now that is not working?
card that isnt working is a puremedia HC 4gbCard that is working is my original one from Jessops UK 2 GBboth are obviously SD cards
Ok I just had to make sure as it can use SDHC and MMC cards as well. Unfortunately this model only supports up to 2GB using the SD format and is why you are having this problem. For a capacity above 2GB on this model you need a SDHC card SD or MMC above 2GB will not work. Please remember to only rate my answer when you are 100% satisfied. Sorry. The 4gb is SDHC that should work. I can only assume that its become broken and failed?
Ok if it is a SDHC card and the other SD card you have is working yes it means something is wrong with the card itself and it may have failed. However please look at the electrical contacts on the card itself. If they are dirty clean them with a cotton swab and a very very small amount of warm water. Then test it again. Make sure the card is dry before inserting it into the camera. Unfortunately if the problem is still there after this the card has indeed failed. Please remember to only rate my answer when you are 100% satisfied. Your rating went through thank you very much it is greatly appreciated. I have also sent in that you are getting access denied as a bug.
