Hi, my name is XXXXX XXX it would be my pleasure to help with your issue today. With most camcorders the removable memory card is only for taking still pictures. There are some cameras that will save video in a different format than the HDD format to a memory card, and the easiest way to get that data off of the card is to remove the card from the camera and install it directly into your card slot on your Mac or an use an external card reader. Then you should be able to make a copy of what's on the card using a number of different apps on your Mac (iphoto, imovie, image capture)

If you do have to connect the camera directly to your mac to do this then look into creating a playlist on the camera and add the videos that are on the card to the playlist or copy the data to the internal hard drive of the camera using the camera menus. Then transfer the data from the internal HDD to your Mac.
