I have a Canon HFM 41 camccorder. When it says to initialize the memory card first (talking external cards here), is it just the initialization option or do I also go on to the next step labeled complete initilization? Also, when I am in the auto mode the camera does about everyting, but I need to put in manual for some options (has about nine differenet options like low light; fireworks) does the auto still work, or at least work for some functions, or do I need to manually adjust every parameter on the camcorder?Thanks.
First off when you initialize you do goto the next step of complete initialization in order to finish the job. As for the auto mode there are some features of the camcorder that are not available in auto mode. Some of these are the ones you mention and they are used only in the manual mode. The ones you see in manual mode are the only ones auto cannot make use of.
