Hello,I am Dr. Aren and I will help with your query. This appears to be a normal mole, not a melanoma. The signs to look for in a melanoma include Assymetry, border irregularity, colour changes, diameter over 6mm/1/4th of an inch and evolving .This is a small mole with irregular borders only.

What is the pink bump?
Expert:  vakularen replied 2 months ago.

The pink bump is a pimple. Sorry I meant a mole,Melanomas are usually about 6mm and over in size.

Customer: replied 2 months ago.
You are confusing me.
Expert:  vakularen replied 2 months ago.

The pink bump is a pimple, the mole is the darker lesion seen in the photograph. It cannot be regarded as a melanoma.

Customer: replied 2 months ago.
The pink bump been there for a month doesn't go away, so not cancer, just scared because it wasn't there before, and all of a sudden boom.
Expert:  vakularen replied 2 months ago.

Such bumps occur and do persist ,nothing need be done for them.

Customer: replied 2 months ago.
why did the "mole" show up
Customer: replied 2 months ago.
It's not the pink bump eczema?
Expert:  vakularen replied 2 months ago.

The occurring of a mole is a normal occurrence, the pink bump is definitely not eczema.

Have you seen melenoma in your practice,?
If mine was a melenoma would you have blown the whistle
Expert:  vakularen replied 2 months ago.

Yes, I have seen plenty in over 38 years of practice, and yes I would have told you it was an melanoma if it was.

Customer: replied 2 months ago.
If I were a patient who reports to you with this type of mole, would you have advised a biopsy, or not enough concern
Expert:  vakularen replied 2 months ago.

If you actually had a Melanoma,I would advise you to get immediate biopsy done.

Customer: replied 2 months ago.
Nothing malignant then, I'll still have it check it out to, so I don't have to be worrying about it every time I see it
Expert:  vakularen replied 2 months ago.

Yes, rest assured ,nothing serious .
