Hello,I am Dr. Aren and I will help with your query. This appears to be a normal mole, not a melanoma. The signs to look for in a melanoma include Assymetry, border irregularity, colour changes, diameter over 6mm/1/4th of an inch and evolving .This is a small mole with irregular borders only.
What is the size of the naevus?
The pink bump is a pimple. Sorry I meant a mole,Melanomas are usually about 6mm and over in size.
The pink bump is a pimple, the mole is the darker lesion seen in the photograph. It cannot be regarded as a melanoma.
Such bumps occur and do persist ,nothing need be done for them.
The occurring of a mole is a normal occurrence, the pink bump is definitely not eczema.
Yes, I have seen plenty in over 38 years of practice, and yes I would have told you it was an melanoma if it was.
If you actually had a Melanoma,I would advise you to get immediate biopsy done.
